Merino/Possum/Silk Sweater
Price includes postage.
Made in New Zealand by Manawatu Knitting Mills using 70% Merino for strength, 20% possum for warmth and softness, 10% silk for strength and softness, this sweater is very light weight and compact, yet very warm.
As a long time user of possum wool knits, I tested this particular product a month ski touring and van camping in Japan. I’ve worn it every day since, through our Australian winter, and keep it packed everywhere I go. I am wearing it right now, as I type this description.
It is an excellent base or mid layer, soft and comfortable against the skin, or over the hemp/cotton knit sleeveless or long sleeve shirt for added warmth and comfort in layering. On cold winter days, I layer the hemp/cotton shirt, under this merino/possum/silk sweater, with the wool coat over the sweater.
