How we set prices - a living wage
What if we took the true cost of living as a basis for establishing prices, rather than market rates? Should a labourer be expected to work for $20-30 an hour when it can easily be shown that that rate is not enough to survive in the Australian economy? Do “Free Market” economists really believe that a market correction that takes years if not decades, is acceptable to people who struggle to survive a day?

What a great video by Jaccob McKay. So begins a crowdfunding campaign to produce 100 wax canvas anoraks in a Melbourne production line. Having Jaccob’s help with photos and videos for this campaign has been invaluable. It has been a surprising amount of work to get to this point, and it will be interesting to see how it goes.
