These veg tanned Red Kangaroo skins are a beautiful and silky fleece with an exceptionally strong, soft and light weight leather. Two and a half skins each make a compact, light weight and very soft bedroll with pillow case.
In this batch I've made pillow bags with the fur on one side, and 250GSM (8 ounce) hemp canvas on the other. The pillow case is long and narrow for stuffing with a coat or spare clothes, making a luxurious pillow when sleeping on the bedroll.
Like the Sheepskin Bedrolls, the Red Kangaroo Bedrolls have a 40cm (16 inch) slit for wearing as a poncho.
The 25mm (1 inch) heavy duty cotton webbing sling can adjust to carry a bulkier bedroll (such as additional blankets), and can be used as a belt when wearing the poncho.
160 x 55cm (63 x 21 inches) has two small leather patches repairing small holes left by the tanners.
170 x 55cm (67 x 21 inches)
180 x 55cm (71 x 21 inches) has a slight stain on the leather side of the bedroll. Pillow case is a patchwork of skins
